| Bhaktapur
Typical street scene in the largely unchanged medieval town about 40 minutes outside Kathmandu. |
| Bhaktapur Pottery Square
The name says it all.
It's got pottery in at and is .............. square |
| Tourist Guides
I stopped and sat down for a drink and these two locals found my tourist guide interesting. |
| Small Temple
Bhaktapur is stuffed full of things like this. There is also the statues of the elephants performing the Karma-Sutra which I singularly failed to find. |
| Rickshaw Race
From our hotel (Kathmandu Guest House) to the Yak
And Yeti is about 3 miles.
17 rickshaws were arranged, grand prix style, with a prize of 50 Dollars for the winning driver (About a months wages .......) Absolute pandemonium as we went straight across busy junctions and round corners on one wheel. |
| Yak And Yeti

Here's Amanda and Rachel in front of the table where we had a celebratory meal. |
